MECHANICAL REQUIREMENTS —

Indianapolis Woman is a web-offset printed, 4-color process, perfect bound. Our pre-press is done in house, and we are utilizing computer-to-plate versus conventional film (Which means all advertisements must be submitted digitally.)

Disk or CD Requirements: Mac platform disks & files ONLY. We accept: Zip disks, or CDs. Include a laser or color proof with electronic file.

File Requirements: Applications: QuarkXpress, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop ONLY. Pagemaker files cannot be accepted. File types accepted are: QuarkXpress, TIFF, EPS, PDF, Illustrator and JPEG. JPEG is not recommended due to quality and resolution issues, but is acceptable. Must include all fonts (printer and screen fonts) and graphics used in file. Resolution must be 300 dpi for all halftone images. All colors must be converted to CMYK. Pantone and spot colors cannot be accepted.

E-mail Requirements: PDF, TIFF, EPS or Quark files using Stuffit to compress files (must include all fonts and graphics). Resolution must be 300 dpi and can be no larger than 20 megs. A printed proof should accompany all e-mailed ads. It can be submitted whether by mail or fax.
