Holiday Lemon Cookies (Recipe below)

Sweet and Savory
When it comes to pie, it's all about the flakiness of the crust.

A cookie tray is a great way to greet drop-in guests during the holiday season and to give a bit of homemade comfort to family, neighbors and friends.

Stephanie Hurt responds with one word when asked about the number of cookies she typically bakes during the season - "many." She doesn't attempt to keep track of the dozens she makes during December or throughout the year to give as gifts.

Today's Recipe:

Viennese Mocha Coffee

This mix is every bit as good as the fancy stuff you buy in the gourmet coffee stores.

1 cup of coffee creamer
1/2 to 3/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup instant coffee powder or granules
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Mix all ingredients in blender until you have a fine powder. Store in an air-tight container.

Directions: For 8 ounces of hot water, use 2 to 3 tablespoons of mix. This is best topped with whipped cream. Makes about 1 3/4 cups of mix.
